Rescuing and rehabilitating some of Melbourne’s smallest neighbours.
Melbourne is home to a number of microbat species and most people have no idea!
Microbats are very small, insect eating bats that emerge at night time to keep insect numbers at bay.
Microbats eat lots of different flying insects, including some that make our lives more difficult including mosquitoes and agricultural pests.
Microbats make great neighbours and sometimes live in the roof. Good news though, they don’t do any damage or chew cables, and it is completely safe to leave them to do their thing.
