There are over 1500 species of bat all over the world and 80+ in Australia.

Below you can see some of the wonderful species that call Victoria home.

Victoria is home to 23 species of microbat. 2 of those are listed as endangered (Eastern Horseshoe Bat, Eastern Long Eared Bat) and 2 are listed as critically endangered (Southern Bent-wing Bat, Eastern Bent-wing Bat). The Grey-headed Flying Fox is listen as vulnerable to extinction. Some species, like the Eastern Falsistrelle, do not have sufficient data to properly understand their populations.
