I’ve found a bat in trouble, what do I do?

If you’ve found a bat that you think needs our help, follow these easy steps to ensure both you and the bat are safe.

1. Don’t Panic!

2. Do not attempt to handle the bat with bare hands. Grab some gardening gloves or a tea towel. (If you’ve found a flying fox, do not attempt to handle in any way)

3. Secure any pets away from the bat.
